FireRescue1 Acquires American-Firefighter.com to Expand its Firefighting Community
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – FireRescue1.com, a leading online resource for fire rescue personnel, announced that it has acquired American-Firefighter.com, a popular online firefighting web site, to expand its reach within the fire service and build out its community of members from departments nationwide.
The acquisition brings more than 2,300 new active members into FireRescue1’s community of firefighting professionals. Each American-Firefighter.com member will now have full access to the FireRescue1 network of firefighting web sites, which includes online resources such as VolunteerFD.org, FireGrantsHelp.com, FireRehab.com and FlashoverTV.com.
"The addition of American-Firefighter.com and its network of devoted firefighters is part of our continued efforts to build the most dynamic online community for the fire service," said Alex Ford, CEO of FireRescue1.com. "By continuing to integrate valuable firefighting resources into the FireRescue1 Network, we are making it easier for fire professionals to access the news, information and interactive features they need to stay safe and better protect their communities."
American-Firefighter.com was founded with the purpose of giving firefighters an open forum to discuss issues affecting them on a day-to-day level within their profession.
